ABOUT US
We were established in 1988 at The Drum Circuit drum shop and now resides at MUSIC MOTIVE in San Luis Obispo as well as two other locations in Paso Robles/Templeton and Nipomo. Our instructors are friendly, patient, professional working drummers who love teaching students of all ages. The curriculum is for all levels, beginner to pro. Students can have fun while improving technique, developing reading skills, and learning a variety of styles. Each studio is equipped with two drum sets (for instructor and student), and multi-media sound systems with wide screen monitors.

LOCATIONS
...at San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles (across Hwy101 from Target), and Nipomo (on Tefft Street). Each location has two studios equipped with two drum sets for instructor and student, and a comfortable waiting area for parents.
HOW TO START
To sign up for lessons, call us at (805) 543-0377. Our scheduling and payment system makes it easy for you. We’ll find a location and time that works best for your schedule to get you started right away. It’s that easy!
RATES: 2 Plans To Choose From
MONTHLY TUITION: $110 - Four 1/2 hour lessons per month -5th BONUS lesson is FREE about every 3 months! (For those who intend to be at every lesson)
SINGLE LESSON: $30 - 1/2 hour -cancellation allowed with 48 hour notice
(For those who will miss occasionally)
Registration: $25
Includes unlimited materials and FREE DrumClub 101 Membership
MATERIALS USED
All you’ll need is a pair of drumsticks, practice pad to start. We’ll provide a binder and materials. You may need a specific book or other supplies recommended by your teacher.
HAND PERCUSSION
We also offer conga, djembe, and other ethnic percussion lessons.
Dave LaCaro teaches rumba and son clave styles, 4/4, 6/8, cuban, puerto rican, west african styles, jazz, rock, and swing applied to conga, bongos, chekere, bell, cajon, and misc percussion.
If you don't know what any of that means, don't worry. He's also great with total beginners!
